If you know me, or follow me on other social media outlets, you know I use superfoods for both health and beauty purposes.
One of my favorite ways to use superfoods in my all natural beauty regimen, in this case beets, is in a face mask. I’m always always always researching benefits of superfoods both topically and internally and a beet is definitely a favorite go to of mine. It works wonders and has so many benefits.
Beets are one of God’s greatest gifts to earth, and no I’m not over-exaggerating.
My favorite DIY beet root mask consists of:
Beet root– unclogs pores, brightens up your complexion, reduces acne inflammation and redness, and inhibits acne causing bacteria. Beet root also helps clear up blemishes and inflamed pores.
Raw honey– a natural humectant, has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that helps keep soft and clear.
Tea tree oil– a natural anti-microbial agent that helps heal and treat acne scars. It also helps sanitize your skin and gradually make it clear and soft.
HOW TO MAKE BEET ROOT FACE MASK:
- 1 tbsp. of beet root powder
- 1/2 tbsp. raw and organic honey
- 2 drops of pure tea tree oil
*Always use organic ingredients to avoid clogging your pores!!!
Mix together in a small bowl and apply to your cleansed face (I apply all my face masks with the SPASCRIPTIONS face mask applicator). Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. I use this mask once every week!
