DIY All Natural Avocado Hair Masque

This hair masque is super easy to make, and works WONDERS for your hair. You’ll never want to buy any other conditioner ever again because you’ll realize that none of them actually work this good. My natural hair is very thick, curly, frizzy, and unruly at times and if I don’t keep it up it can turn into a wild mess real quick. My hair is left so so soft, shiny, smooth, silky, curls defined, and manageable. My sleek buns look amazing after using this.

f05130c8-975e-4b6d-84bd-2c89fed63a11I find that when I pair this hair mask with my Carol’s Daughter Green Supreme shampoo it works best; it is definitely the best Carol’s Daughter product HANDS DOWN. This hair mask is for all hair types, but my curly hair frens, you need to do this mask at least once a week. It’ll change your life.

All you need is:

  • 1 avocado
  • Creamy coconut milk, canned coconut milk guys, not the ones sold by silk in the dairy section
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 essential oil of your choice, 5 drops
    • I use rosemary oil, it is one of the best essential oils for your hair. It makes my hair grow like crazy! Why? Because it’s packed full of antioxidants that help fight the thinning of hair. It encourages blood circulation in the scalp and stimulates the hair follicles.

When I apply hair masks I section my hair into four, and apply it section by section. It ensures that all my hair is penetrated equally and evenly. The mixture comes out very creamy and smooth just like a store bought hair conditioner so you don’t have to worry about avocado chunks being all up in your hair. My favorite time to do hair masks is when I’m studying, or having a deep clean my apartment day because I prefer to deep condition my hair for an hour or so. Curly hair needs to be catered and needs all the TLC you can give it.

  1. You feel this will be better than the deep conditioners I already use? Well, okay, I might give it a try then. LOL. For reference, what deep conditioners have you tried that this DIY avocado and honey deep conditioner “beat?” Thanks in advance! Take care!

    1. All the carols daughter conditioners, Camille rose, and Mielle organics. Honey and avocado together are miracle workers! Depending on your hair type you may have to add more honey. You just have to adjust the amounts to what works for your hair. It’s amazing!

    2. Thanks for the speedy reply! So far the main deep conditioner that has worked the best for me most consistently is the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey DC. I did get great results from the Alikay Naturals Honey and Sage DC, but it contains little herb bits that are difficult for me to rinse out of my hair without rinsing out all of the effect from the DC! Grrrrr! I’m going to try your recipe, along with trying to add honey to all the DCs in my hair product drawer that are just so-so on my hair. Maybe boosting them with added honey will turn them around! The life of a natural! Gotta love it! 🙂 I’m having fun finding staples and HGs. Blessings!
