I think you guys have noticed by now that one of my true passions outside of health/wellness/fitness is natural skin care. This pumpkin enzyme face mask is a fave of mine, is super easy to make, and works wonders. It is definitely one of the easiest ways to get glowing skin, which is something that we can agree to all want right?
Pumpkin Enzyme Face Mask Recipe:
1 cup pumpkin puree: contains enzymes that help to exfoliate the top dead layer of our skin. It’s rich in vitamin A, which helps to stimulate collagen and cell growth.
1/4 plain greek yogurt: contains lactic acid, a gentle exfoliator and super hydrator.
3 tbsp. raw honey: an antibacterial (which is great for those who deal with stubborn breakouts) and a hydrator. It’s best to use raw honey because honey that’s been processed with heat loses all of its healing enzymes.
3 tbsp. almond oil: it’s anti-aging, and contains vitamins A and E.
1 tsp. cinnamon: promotes healthy blood flow to and plumps the skin. Helps to give you a soft and supple look.
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until you get your desired consistency and apply it to your face. I leave the mask on 15-20 minutes (sometimes even longer when I’m being a lil lazy) and rinse off with warm water.
Your skin will feel SUPER hydrated and will glow immensely after the first use. You’ll be hooked. You will definitely get more than one mask out of this batch so keep the rest refrigerated. It can last in the fridge for 2 weeks.
Go get your glow on!!!!
